In this latest video, we detail all of the new announcements regarding Norwegian Cruise Line's Sail Safe program. If you enjoy the video, please make sure to give it a BIG THUMBS UP! Norwegian Cruise Line recently updated its Peace of Mind policy to include all cruises through November 30, 2020, allowing individuals to cancel up to 48 hours before a sailing and still receive a future cruise credit. Also, the cruise line indicated that it will be limiting the passenger capacity onboard each ship; however, it did not give any specific guidelines about how much this capacity would be reduced. For embarkation, guests will be required to do an online check-in and will be assigned a specific boarding time to reduce crowds. At the terminal, guests will be required to complete a temperature check and heath declaration. Further, Norwegian Cruise Line will also have strict sanitation protocols with frequent sanitation of high traffic areas and staterooms using Electrostatic Spray Technology and fogging. Cruise ships will also practice responsible social distancing in venues such as restaurants, theaters, and other public spaces. However, the cruise line still has not commented on whether or not passengers will need to wear masks. While the Sail Safe protocols do include additional safety precautions for crew, it also does not indicate what type of PPE crew members will need to wear once cruising resumes. Other improvements include brand new medical grade air ventilation filters to remove pathogens from the air, improved medical testing on the ship, and the creation of a brand new officer in charge of ensuring all new health protocols are properly executed on each ship.
