AMBITION Naming Ceremony

On May 11, 2023, the AMBITION (IMO 9172777) was officially added to the Ambassador Cruise Line fleet during a christening ceremony in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. Godmother was Shirley Robertson, Order of the British Empire, British sailor, TV presenter and Olympic champion. The first port of call for the maiden voyage, which began on May 12, was Dundee, the birthplace of the godmother. Then, as part of the 14-day trip „Hidden Gems of France and Spain“, the course was set for warmer climes. In her first season, the AMBITION will call at 91 ports in 29 countries, covering more than 70,000 nautical miles. The cruise ship was built from 1997 to 1999 at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint Nazaire under the name MISTRAL.
