Welcome to day 6 of our Pacific Coast cruise on Holland America Koningsdam. Join us as we explore the charming port city of Astoria, Oregon — a destination packed with history, movie magic, and small-town charm. From sipping coffee at a local favorite to riding a giant slide, this day had it all! Astoria is a very walkable city. While you can rent a car, take an Uber, or ride bikes, we chose to explore on foot. Once we returned to the ship, it was time to don our orange clothes for the Orange Party. Lively music, special events, and yummy Dutch treats abound for this HAL tradition. Come take a look. 🗺️ Our Day in Astoria: Waterfront Walk – Strolling the scenic path from the cruise port into downtown Astoria. Astoria Coffee House & Bistro – Cozy vibes, great coffee, and delicious breakfast bites. Oregon Film Museum – Step inside a real Goonies filming location and relive the 80s classic. McClure Park – Home of the Huge Slide (yes, we rode it!) and surrounded by spring cherry blossoms. Peter Pan Market & Deli – A local gem for a tasty sandwich lunch before heading back to the ship. ⚓ Back Onboard Fun: Orange Party – We dressed head-to-toe in orange for this lively themed event. Music Trivia – We didn’t win… but we had a blast trying!
