"Aurora", "Balmoral" & "Silver Cloud" depart from Southampton - 01/09/2014

A grey and slightly wet afternoon for those departing from Southampton Docks on Monday 1st September 2014. Three cruise ships departed in the space of 90 minutes beginning with P&O Cruises' "Aurora" from the 'Mayflower' Terminal at 16:37 heading on a 24-night cruise to Istanbul, the Black Sea and Greece with the first Port of Call being Lisbon. The second ship to get underway was Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines' "Balmoral" from the 'City' Terminal at 16:52 heading on a 32-night voyage to Canada, New York & Boston with the first Port of Call being St. John's in Canada. The last of the three ships to sail was Silversea's "Silver Cloud" from the 'QEII' Terminal at 17:58 heading off on an 11-night cruise to Lisbon with the first Port of Call being Honfleur, France. A fourth ship - AIDA's "AIDAsol" was also in Southampton at the 'Ocean' Terminal and departed at around 21:20 continuing her cruise from Hamburg. Viewed from Hythe Marina.
