Known as one of the most scenic areas of the world, this trip through some of the Norwegian Fjords was gorgeous, although somewhat hampered by rain and fog. I took a local train from Bergen to Voss, then a shuttle bus from Voss to Gudvangen, and a fjord cruise to Flam, Norway. Throughout the trip we endured rain and fog, which hampered many of the views; however, it was still obvious that the gorges and surrounding mountains are magnificent. This video covers my experience traveling to Flam and also shares my short time overnighting in the town of Flam. Fortunately, I woke to a beautiful morning where the waters were like glass, reflecting the foggy mountains above. For senior and solo travelers, this trip mainly involved navigating from the train to the bus, which was quite simple. From the bus to the boat was a short distance and easy to manage.
