The Celebrity Infinity is racing against time. After a major technical failure left the ship drifting off the coast of Greece, we have the latest updates on the engine room repairs, the arrival of specialized parts, and the current sea trials in the Aegean Sea. Following a "loss of control" on February 15, 2026, the ship was towed into Piraeus by four tugboats. After nine days of intensive work by technical teams and specialized personnel, the ship is finally back on the move. Will she be ready for the February 27th "Best of Greece" departure? 🚨 Key Facts on the Breakdown & Recovery: • The Incident: In the early hours of Feb 15, the ship suffered an electrical distribution panel malfunction, leading to a total loss of propulsion and onboard power (lighting, A/C, and elevators were all offline). • The Rescue: Greek authorities and the Hellenic Coast Guard coordinated a rescue using four tugboats to safely bring the vessel into Piraeus. • The Repairs: The ship remained stationary for over a week awaiting engine room parts and specialized personnel.
