The port of Durban, South Africa has notified the captain of the Queen Mary 2 that the Harbor Pilot will not be able to board the ship the traditional way by way of a Pilot boat, due to undisclosed reasons. The Durban port authorities have informed the captain that the Harbor Pilot will board the Queen Mary 2 via helicopter. The helicopter will not land on the Queen Mary 2.
