You guys… THIS IS THE BIG ONE! 🎉 My partner, Bart, is finally experiencing Disney magic in America for the very first time, and I couldn’t be more excited to bring you along for the journey. From trains to boats, tiki bars and plenty of cocktails to gingerbread houses, this vlog has it all! 🚄 Our Brightline Adventure: We started the day hopping on the Brightline train from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando (MCO). It’s sleek, fast, and ridiculously easy to use (seriously, why isn’t every train this nice?!). If you’re planning a trip, check out gobrightline.com for all the details. Spoiler: I might be a little too obsessed with this train. And I am Belgian, so that says a lot!! Well done @GoBrightline 🚕 Arriving at Port Orleans Riverside: After a quick Uber ride, we made it to our home for this trip—Port Orleans Riverside! It’s our first time here (even though Henry and I have stayed at French Quarter before—here’s that vlog if you missed it: https://youtu.be/_QqNQEHPfDI). This resort is GORGEOUS! Think Southern charm, sprawling rivers, and little Disney touches everywhere. We had a room in the gorgeous Alligator Bayou area of the resort, which is by far my favourite place to be. 🛶 Disney Springs Boat Ride: The next morning, we hopped on a boat (because why take a bus when you can take a boat?!) and floated over to Disney Springs. If you’ve never been, it’s basically Disney’s shopping, dining, and entertainment wonderland. Pro tip: The boat ride itself is such a vibe—don’t miss it if you’re staying at Riverside or French Quarter! 🍹 Polynesian Resort Vibes: After shopping, it was time for dinner at the Polynesian Resort. We hit up the Tambu Lounge (the bar attached to the Ohana Restaurant) and devoured the legendary Ohana noodles and pot stickers (yes, you can order them at the bar after 5 PM—life-changing info, I know). Then, we scored a reservation at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, the tiki bar of all tiki bars. Think tropical cocktails, magical effects, and lots of surprises. It’s an experience, to say the least. I think we nearly broke Bart in the process, so definitely watch that bit! 🎄 Grand Floridian Christmas Magic: Next up and after a few cocktails, we made our way to the Grand Floridian Resort to see their massive gingerbread house—it smells as good as it looks, trust me. We also snagged a seat in front of Gasparilla's Island Grill (which is the name of the quick service restaurant at the grand Floridian) with a perfect view of Cinderella Castle and the Happily Ever After fireworks show. Watching Bart see the castle and fireworks for the first time? Absolute perfection. 😭 🌊 The Electrical Water Pageant: We wrapped up the night with my favorite Disney tradition: the Electrical Water Pageant. If you’ve never seen it, it’s a floating parade of twinkling lights and classic Disney music that glides across the water. It’s pure nostalgia and such a magical way to end the day. Did you know that this pageant is one of the very few original opening year shows still running at WDW? It reminds me so much of the Main Street Electrical Parade, which is my most favourite parade ever. 💖 This vlog is so special to me because sharing these moments with Bart made them even more magical. Seeing Disney through someone’s eyes for the first time is something I’ll never forget. I hope you enjoy the ride as much as we did!
