YouTube Video Description↓

Day three of our holiday to Norfolk and we combine a railway with a river cruise. The Bure Valley Railway runs from Aylsham to Wroxham. It situated roughly along the main road from Norwich to Cromer, so it wasn't too difficult to reach from her base in Sheringham. The railway was running its Red Service with two steam locos in action. We rode out to Wroxham on the first train of the day behind BVR 2-6-2 No.6 "Blickling Hall". After arriving at Wroxham, we watched "Blickling Hall" depart on the first return trip and waited for the other train to arrive, which was worked by BVR 2-6-4T No.1 "Wroxham Broad". We then headed into Wroxham itself and boarded our boat for a cruise down the River Bure to some Broads (see seperate video). Finally, after returning to Wroxham on the boat and having a late lunch at McDonald's, we returned to station in time to see "Blicking Hall" arrive with its last outward run of the day. We watched it turn on the turntable and the boared for the return run back to Aylsham, passing BVR Bo-Bo No.3 "2nd Air Division USAAF" at the half-way loop. This footage was taken on Monday 27th June 2011.
