Having a cruise cancelled isn't fun, but in this case, I came out way better than I thought I would. While Carnival said I would get a 100% cruise credit for my cancelled trip, only half of my cruise fare was kept to apply to a future sailing. The other half -- plus all my taxes, fees, and gratuities were returned. The result is that I got hundreds more returned to me than I expected, while still getting the onboard credit for my next cruise. #Carnival #cruise
