Chillies Cruises has learned from our friends at Cruise Radio that the Carnival Fantasy has been sold and will soon be heading to her final resting place in Izmir, Turkey. The ship was recently in Curaçao offloading heavy equipment and now has filed a voyage plan for Izmir, Turkey, home of one of the largest vessel scrapyards. It has been speculated that the Fantasy would be replaced for the Mobile schedule by Carnival Fascination in January 2022. Assuming cruises start again in October, 2020, a decision on coverage of the Fantasy schedule from then until January 2022, has not been announced.
