Carnival Live Concert Series 2015 - Cruise Tips TV
Description from YouTube
2015 Line up for Carnival Live Concert Series Hey Cruisers, it's Sheri with CruiseTipsTV, We’ve been sailing Carnival a lot this year. Their sailings from the west coast have been a terrific value for our family. That combined with the Carnival Live Concert series has really made Carnival an outstanding option for us. Carnival has just announced the 2015 line up and we are excited to share that with you. Stick around and we’ll show you a list of the big names you can expect to see in 2015. First let’s get you pumped up with the inside scoop on our experience with the carnival live concert series. We selected our last cruise on the Carnival Imagination because Styx was playing and we are SO glad we did. The show was amazing and the band sounded as great as they did in their heyday. The concert was held in the two-story Dynasty lounge at 9:30pm while we were anchored off Catalina Island. We bought our tickets online before sailing for just $20 each. A handful of tickets were still available on boarding day but sold out quickly. The Dynasty is a terrific venue for a band of this caliber. Although every seat was filled with an amped fan, it still felt intimate, and our back row seemed more than close. We arrived at the theater around 8:45 and seats were already at a premium so we settled in on the second level of the theatre. The bar crew did an impressive job of keeping the full house happy with drink service. If you want to be really close, get there super early, or go the VIP route. The show started right on time at 9:30pm with no introduction and we were surprised that photos and video were allowed throughout the performance. Now, if you're really into a performer, I recommend investing in the VIP experience. For $100, which is about the price of a regular admission concert ticket on land, you'll be treated to front row seats, a meet and greet with the band and more cool perks. From what we could see, the VIP fans had the time of their lives. Band members went out of their way to engage the audience, throwing high fives, guitar picks, t-shirts and other swag to lucky front row fans. Tommy Shaw strummed his way up and down the center isles to the delight of rabid fans and the chagrin of the security team. Overall, Carnival Live was a fantastic experience and we recommend it. Okay, so the 2015 round of cruises begins in March and showcases … Journey! Yeah, Journey, and Rascal Flatts and Smokey Robinson. What? Smokey Robinson? And how about Little Big Town? And Styx! If you like Styx, you’ve got to find a way to see one of these shows. The concert series will be expanded to more ships, homeports and itineraries. Journey are set to appear on March 18 and 19, 2015, in St. Thomas. Styx will perform four times in June, beginning on the 16th, during cruise stops in Nassau. That’s it for this episode. Until next time, we'll see you on the high seas!
