Date Filmed: June 4, 2021 This is a huge day for Carnival Cruise Line! Today their brand new ship, Carnival Mardi Gras, is arriving to her new home of Port Canaveral! It is always exciting when we get a first look at a new ship, but Mardi Gras is something special all together! This is a first for Carnival and the Cruise Industry to feature an onboard roller coaster, as well as the first ship in North America to be powered by Liquified Natural Gas (LNG)! Today was very serendipitous in that we had plans to visit Jetty Park to film and welcome Mardi Gras to Florida on our own, but then received invitation to attend the official welcome ceremony, so we couldn’t pass that up! With this invitation we were able to tour Carnival’s new top of the line Cruise Terminal at Port Canaveral! Thank you Carnival Cruise Line for inviting us to this monumental occasion! If you follow us you know we have not personally sailed with Carnival, but the company has been making positive changes to their operations, and Mardi Gras has definitely gotten our attention!
