About our Bacon Score methodologyYouTube Video Descriptionβ
I sailed Carnival's final ship in the Sunshine Class and put together all of the things that I loved, didn't love, and hated about the ship. Originally launched in 2000 as the Victory, the Carnival Radiance went through a multi-million dollar renovation post drydock where she was completely transformed. You'll hear me talk about some of the changes that I absolutely LOVE about Carnival Radiance, along with some things we miss. While there's a lot to love about Carnival Radiance, there were a couple things that absolutely had a negative impact with our time on board. For this cruise, I sailed with another Carnival loyalist (Rocky was already on the Carnival Panorama!). After the cruise, she shared, "We can try another brand for our next cruise." That's how big of a deal some of the negative experiences were. We certainly don't dwell on the negative, however, as there's a LOT to love about Carnival Radiance! She feels like a new ship after her massive renovation and would have been the first ship in Carnival's fleet to house Shaq's Big Chicken... had it not been for that pandemic. As a result of delays to her drydock, Mardi Gras launched as the first ship in Carnival's fleet with Big Chicken. Fun facts you learn when you read Mark's descriptions! If you've sailed Carnival Radiance, I hope you see some of your favorite spaces in this video. If you haven't sailed, and have questions, let me know in the comments below as we answer every question! If you're curious about the other Carnival ships sailing out of Long Beach, we've been on them all.
