It is incredible to see Carnival Cruise Line officially kicking off the new Ace Class! With 3,000 cabins and a maximum passenger capacity of 8,000, these ships are set to become some of the largest cruise ships in the world. We love that they’ve chosen the name 'Carnival Destiny' for the first vessel. It’s a great homage to the original 1996 ship, which was a true pioneer as the first Carnival ship over 100,000 gross tons and the largest in the world at that time. Seeing the steel cutting ceremony took place on July 10th, at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone makes it all feel very real. We are already looking forward to the delivery of the new ship.
