Creator's Key Takeaways
We are on the island of St. Lucia. Uh this is a first time stop for us.
It was interesting. We did learn some some facts, but it was a lot of driving.
I don't think I've ever been to an actual uh quasi active volcano before.
The lunch was tasty.

About our Bacon Score methodologyYouTube Video Descriptionβ
We visited the island of St. Lucia on our recent Southern Caribbean Cruise on the Disney Magic. While visiting the island, we took part in the DCL excursion, Soufriere Island Delight (SL08). Our day began meeting in the Walt Disney Theater and being escorted off the ship to our bus for the day. Once onboard, we began the 90-minute drive to our destination, along the way, we drove past banana plantations, rum distilleries and other amazing views. Our first stop was a short one to a scenic overlook. We also had the opportunity to purchase drinks at the bar and visit the gift shop where we sampled banana ketchup (a very interesting flavor, but not for us). Our second stop was another overlook, this one looking over the amazing Pitons. We had a few minutes to take some photos and browse the gift shop at this location. Finally, we reached our first destination, Soufriere and the sulfur springs. We took a guided tour through the springs and learned some facts about the volcano (it's similar to Yellowstone and also overdue for an eruption being one of them). It was then time to head to our final destination, Morne Coubaril Estate and have some lunch. We were treated to a delicious buffet and sampled some interesting juice! After lunch, we were taken on a tour of the estate, where we received demonstrations on how they make sugarcane juice, and cocoa. We also received coconuts to drink and eat! It was then time to board our bus and head back to port. The Soufriere Island Delight was a last-minute excursion for us, our original excursion was cancelled a couple of weeks prior to leaving and this was our replacement. We had a good time on this excursion, but it's a one and done for us. At the time of publishing (November, 2025), this excursion was $94 for ages 10 and up, $59 for ages 3-9, and free for 0-2.
