Join us for a look at a deluxe ocean view stateroom aboard the Celebrity Silhouette! We stayed in cabin 6185, a category V5 stateroom located on deck 6. This is an obstructed view room, and you will see that there is a life boat directly below you that blocks you from looking straight down at the ocean. However, even with this, you can see straight out from your balcony, and we would stay in another room like this again as the obstruction didn't bother us at all. We booked an Veranda Guarantee Stateroom and were assigned this room. Celebrity Silhouette is the fourth Solstice-class cruise ship, her sister ships being Celebrity Solstice, Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Eclipse, and Celebrity Reflection. Solstice, Equinox, Eclipse, and Silhouette entered service in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 respectively. Reflection was later launched in 2012. Since July 2011, Silhouette has been owned and operated by Celebrity Cruises. The ship features the iconic Lawn Club and can accommodate 2,886 passengers. Celebrity Silhouette's last major dry dock was completed in early 2020 as part of the "Celebrity Revolution" fleet-wide modernization.
