We investigated the specialty-dining lineup aboard the newly refurbished Celebrity Solstice to find out which restaurants were actually worth paying extra for. Celebrity Solstice has new restaurants, updated dining experiences, tableside presentations, sushi tasting options, creative milkshakes—and a newly added Fine Cut Steakhouse. But after two disappointing visits to Fine Cut during our previous Celebrity Edge cruise, we decided to skip the steakhouse this time and take a steak cooking class instead. What happened during that class completely changed our opinion of Celebrity’s steak. In this honest specialty-dining review, we visit the refurbished Solstice’s major dining venues and reveal which restaurants were worth the extra cost. We review: 🍝 Trattoria Rossa, Celebrity Solstice’s new Italian restaurant 🍣 Sushi on Five, including the regular and omakase experiences 🥩 The steak cooking class and whether Celebrity improved its steak 🦞 Murano, where the food was so good we returned a second night 🥤 The Parlor, Celebrity’s new sports lounge, game room and casual dining venue We also explain why specialty dining was not included during this cruise, even though we are Elite Plus members and were staying in a Sunset Sky Suite. Luminae and The Retreat were included, but complimentary specialty dining is reserved for guests staying in Royal Suites and above. Our clear winner was Murano, followed by Trattoria Rossa and Sushi on Five—but every venue offered a very different experience.
