While we didn’t visit during the conclave, we did explore the same sacred spaces where it’s happening now, including the stunning Sistine Chapel and the majestic St. Peter’s Basilica Dome (also known as the Cupola). The climb to the top of the cupola offered unforgettable panoramic views over Vatican City and Rome—and gave us a whole new appreciation for the scale and grandeur of this holy site.
