The US Coast Guard performed a helicopter medevac of a crew member suffering from abdominal pains from Norwegian Dawn on July 28, 2011, when the ship was approximately 46 miles southeast of Nantucket. This was a routine operation for the Coast Guard, but still, it provides some fascinating video for the rest of us as it was shot from a camera outside over the door of the helicopter looking down to the deck of the cruise ship. The patient is hoisted first and then the Coast Guard rescue swimmer is hoisted before the MH-60 Jawhawk helicopter departs for Cape Code where the man was delivered to a shoreside hospital for treatment.
