The US Coast Guard performed a helicopter medevac from Cunard's Queen Mary 2 as it sailed 100 miles off the North Carolina Coast on Tuesday, December 20, 2011. In this Coast Guard video, we see more than the usual clip of a passenger being hoisted from the deck. This video shows a bit more of the process before the lift as the rescue swimmer and a ship's officer struggle against the wind on deck to get the passenger in the basket and off the deck safely.
