If you want to avoid the Sidewalk Shuffle on San Miguel's waterfront, walk on the ocean side of the street. In the side streets and at San Miguel's El Zócalo (The Plaza), with its bandstand and clock tower, - there was more peacefulness. San Miguel is very colourful, with low rise colonial-style buildings - City is very safe and friendly.
