Carnival Cruise Line's 'Behind the Fun' tour will be returning in February, according to Brand Ambassador John Heald. American Cruise Lines has added Starlink Maritime satellite internet to its fleet of riverboats and small ships. [Transcript] For the first time in a while, Norwegian Cruise Line has made an update to its COVID-19 protocols. For all sailings embarking in January, all guests who hold current passports from or have visited China, Hong Kong, or Macau within 10 days of sailing must take pre-cruise tests. This is due to a rise in COVID cases and new travel restrictions from those locations. They must submit a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of leaving home, then test again at the port within eight hours of embarkation. Guests who have recently been in those three places must also be vaccinated and boosted, if eligible. For more details, visit cruise radio dot net. Carnival’s brand ambassador John Heald revealed on his Facebook page that the popular Behind the Fun tour will be returning to ships in February. The behind-the-scenes tour takes guests into areas of the ship that are usually off-limits, which in the past included places such as the main galley, laundry room, engine control room, and the bridge. While details on the tour’s restart have not yet been announced, in the past this tour was limited to 16 participants and only offered once per cruise. Another cruise line has added SpaceX’s Starlink internet to its ships. Small ship and river brand American Cruise Lines has added the satellite internet to its fleet of riverboats and small ships. The line said it beta tested Starlink last year, with guests giving the internet rave reviews. The high-speed wifi will be free on all of the line’s 2023 voyages, consistent with the line’s more inclusive pricing structure which also includes gratuities, room service, port charges, and beer and wine at lunch and dinner.
