Enjoy this short video of the “vintage” Carnival Cruise Lines ship The Tropicale, which launched in 1982 and we sailed on in 1984 to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán, and Cabo San Lucas. I apologize for some lousy video as the video cameras were not good back then. The video has a lot of exterior shots of the ship and some interior ones as well with some still photos. Also, if you have been to Cabo San Lucas, this will show what it looked like 36 years ago with dirt streets. Just a quick blast back in time seeing Carnival’s first new ship they had built. All of the previous ships Carnival had purchased were previously owned by other companies.
