In this video we look at cruise ship luggage tags. Hey cruisers, I'm Sheri with cruise tips TV and I’m excited to report that there are some NEW cruise luggage tags on the market. Yes, I get excited about things like luggage tags. Now, if you've ever tried to shop online for cruise luggage tags you probably know that they are relatively expensive and there is not a great selection out there. We're going to take a look at the new Shacke luggage tags and compare them to a few other brands. If you've watched our other packing videos you'll recall that Shacke makes packing cubes, and a lightweight backpack we love....They price their products competitively so we were intrigued when we heard about their new luggage tags. Okay, so why are these a superior product? Let's start by taking a look at the other cruise luggage tags that are on the market. This first set here is entirely plastic with a plastic tie that attaches to your luggage. If you've ever tried to maneuver one of these plastic doodads you know that it's tricky to get them properly wrapped around the handle of your luggage. Another thing that we noticed about most of these luggage tags is that the opening to the luggage tag doesn't seal off so if you were to encounter wet weather or rough handling at an airport your luggage tag could become damaged, or soggy. The first thing we noticed when we saw Shacke’s tags is that they offer a ziplock style closure at the top. I'm not sure why none of the other brands of ever thought about this but it's brilliant. They also offer a very secure wire like band to attach to your luggage handle avoiding that awkward negotiation of attaching your cruise tag to the bag. These attach to your suitcase with a jewelry like screw closure that makes affixing it your luggage much more simple and seemingly secure. And the best part, quite possibly, is the price. Check them out on our website at CruiseTipsTV.com. Shacke also offers some traditional luggage tags in fun colors and patterns. Oh, and if you like product reviews, check out our new channel, CruiseGear where we’ll be reviewing our favorite products for cruising. We know not all of our subscribers LIKE product reviews, so we’ve created a separate place to showcase stuff we think is cool.
