We recently sailed out of Vancouver to Alaska aboard the Celebrity Solstice. If you are thinking about sailing out of Vancouver we have some hotel, restaurant, and activities you might want to check out while you are there. We traveled as a family of four with two preteen kiddos so everything we did was family friendly. Vancouver has tons of great places to stay and we chose one high end hotel (The Fairmont Pacific Rim) for its proximity to the cruise port and activities we wanted to do before the cruise. We chose our second hotel (JW Mariott Parq) for it's more moderate price tag as well as it's location to the activities we had planned after our return form the cruise. I highly recommend both hotels. We are a foodie family and we had fantastic meals while in Vancouver. We grabbed a lunch at the Cactus Club Cafe, which has multiple locations in Vancouver and elsewhere. Our Kiddos had their first Michelin starred meal at Published on main and we ate two more Michelin recommended meals, One at Riley's Fish & Steak, and the other at Social Corner. Our Flight was delayed several hours so we missed out on time at Stanley park. But, while we were in Vancouverbefore the cruise we had a blast at the Capilano Suspension Bridge and we checked out Gastown for some shopping. When we returned after our cruise we explored the Granville island Market for a variety of bites, entertainment, and more shopping.
