Hi Cruisers, it’s Sheri from CruiseTipsTV Many cruises to Alaska stop in charming Victoria, British Columbia. If your time here is short, there are still dozens of ways to see the area. From famous Rogers chocolates to endless shopping downtown, there’s much to do and see. For an overview of the area, catch a double decker bus tour to get a feel for the city and the harbor. Victoria is teeming with lush gardens and photo ops, like this cool orca near the Empress Hotel. Speaking of the Empress, a visit to Victoria would not be complete without a stop at this gorgeous hotel. You can stroll the property and check out the hanging gardens, hop on a horse drawn carriage or even have lunch in the pub. On our last visit, we made reservations to enjoy a Victorian tradition, afternoon Tea in the lobby of this lovely hotel. It may be a splurge, but the service is spectacular and the sweet and savory treats are delicious. One final option to consider is a taxi tour. We did this once when we had limited time in port. It’s a fun option, but it goes by fast, and makes for some shaky video.
