Cunard Queen Mary 2 Ship Tour

This is our ship tour of Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 (QM2). This tour will show you everything this grand liner has to offer. Flagship of the Cunard fleet, Queen Mary 2 is a true transatlantic ocean liner, making regular scheduled crossings between Southampton and New York. Queen Mary 2 entered service in 2004 and her sheer size and scale paired with her sleek design and iconic Cunard livery turns heads all over the world. Our tour starts off in the Grand Lobby which spans over 2 decks. Here you will find the Pursers Office, the Tour Office, Empire Casino, an array of retail outlets and the Champagne Bar. Queen Mary 2 boasts the first Planetarium at sea, this can be found at Illuminations, which also plays host to movies and Cunard Insight talks. Tickets for the planetarium can be purchased from ConneXions, which is also where you can access the internet. Nearby you will find the Cunardia exhibition, which maps out the history behind Cunard Line. Queen Mary 2 has a very elegant theatre called the Royal Court Theatre where you will find cabaret performances and production shows, these are played twice an evening to coincide with early and late sitting in the main dining room. Photographers onboard will take various pictures during your voyage – you can take a look at these in the Photo Gallery which is opposite the Golden Lion Pub. The Golden Lion pub is a British style pub and serves some great dishes. Queen Mary 2 has the best main dining room at sea inspired by Art Deco themes from the 1930’s harking back to the golden age of transatlantic crossings. With its sweeping stair cases you are guaranteed a great experience at the Britannia Restaurant. Queen Mary 2 has many other bars and lounges, such as The Chart Room bar, Carinthia Lounge (previously the Winter Garden) and the Commodore Club. Sir Samuels is a coffee bar where you will also find a selection of Godiva chocolate treats as well as offering a Chocolate afternoon Tea. For the traditional Cunard Afternoon Tea, head to the Queens Room. This elegant ball room is also used for Cunard enrichment activates during the day and hosting a Ball during the evening. Near the Queens Room you will find Queen Mary 2’s nightclub called G32. If you get hungry, as well as the Britannia Restaurant you also have Kings Court Buffet, The Verandah Steak House, Boardwalk Café or Room Service. If you are staying in a Princess Grill or Queens Grill you also have your own Lounge, Dining Room and Deck area. You can find some spectacular viewpoints on Queen Mary 2 on the open decks or you can head to the observation deck or The Lookout. During a transatlantic crossing you will have ample time to relax in the Canyon Ranch Spa, play Shuffleboard, Tennis or Golf (they have a golf simulator called the Fairways too). Did you know Queen Mary 2 also has a kennel, even your four legged friends can cross the transatlantic with you and they even have a British lamppost and an American Fire Hydrant to make themselves feel at home. At the aft area of the ship you will find a terrace pool area with a bar and fabulous views looking out to sea. Young ones are catered for in the Kids Club.
