Cunard's 'Queen Victoria' arrived back in Southampton today the 8th April 2018 from her 12 Night round-trip Cruise to the Canary Islands & Madeira, along with the arrival of P&O Cruises 'Britannia' which had been on a 2 Night round-trip to Zeebrugge in Belgium. Both ships departed later in the day, the 'Queen Victoria' was the first to depart from the Mayflower Cruise Terminal at about 16:31pm which is good time for a Cunard Ship, she had to make a turn in the upper swinging ground then sailed past Mayflower Park and then past Town Quay from there she started to make herself heard. Then 'Britannia' gave a good rendition back to 'Queen Victoria' it was a very nice loud battle of the horns from them both. The 'Queen Victoria' is on a 7 Night round-trip Spain & France Cruise the first port of call is La Rochelle in France. Then it was P&O Cruises 'Britannia' to make her departure from the Ocean Cruise Terminal at about 18:18pm which is a much better time to depart rather than 22:00pm last Friday the 6th April where she had IT computer problems which affected the whole P&O Fleet. As 'Britannia' left the Ocean Dock for a 14 Nights round-trip to the Canary Islands & Portugal she gave a good blow on her ships horn again, her first port of call is Funchal in Madeira.
