CUNARD175: "Queen Mary 2" departs Southampton for Liverpool - 02/07/2015

Another of the CUNARD 175th Anniversary events got underway on Thursday 2nd July 2015 as "Queen Mary 2" departed Southampton's 'City' Terminal at 17:30 heading for Liverpool where she will then re-create the first transatlantic crossing to New York that took place 175 years ago. The planned display/flypast by the Red Arrows was once again thwarted by bad weather. Viewed from Town Quay. Note - the tune of "Land of Hope & Glory" has been added to cover up the words of a rather snobbish couple standing close-by making nasty remarks about the ship.
