Cunard's Queen Elizabeth Float Out

welcome back to monfalcone Italy and the pin cantieri Shipyard it's Tuesday the 5th of January 2010 and another milestone for Cunard as Queen Elizabeth has her float out ceremony

so before the water comes into the dry dock everything that's in there already has to come out including the cranes and equipment that have been working on the underside of the hull for the last few months

as you aware this is the first Cod ship to be built at mon Falcone and only the second cunada ever to be built in Italy

so just behind me is the motor that opens the floodgates of this enormous gate bringing in the water from the Adriatic Sea to touch the hull of Queen Elizabeth for the very first time
