We are on Day 11 of our transatlantic journey. We are at sea today and wow, what a day full of activities. One of the big activities is the captains cocktail party. Carnival tries to re-enact 1987 by changing the daily program to look like it did in 1987. Carnival will simulate activities that were done on the ships back in 1987. We started with our morning walk and a photo opt of the towel zoo growing in the cabin. It’s formal night tonight so we had to get dressed up fancy. However, my shirt was wrinkled, and I had my very first trip to launderette room. We attended the captain’s party and had a wonderful time. We were able to orchestrate a group picture of random people. After the party we had dinner and then spent time walking to each venue that had music and fun activities. One of the horn players on the ship was a passenger who brought his own trumpet and asked the hired musician if he could join him for a set or two. He was amazing! I participated in an air guitar show in the Atrium lounge as we enter the straights of Gibraltar. I was able to get a poor image of the rock of Gibraltar. Welcome to Hubbard’s Journey we are embarking on a yearlong Land-Cruise Journey, Thanks for coming along. Our second trip of the Journey has us on the Carnival Freedom sailing across the Atlantic ultimately ending in Barcelona Spain. Come along on our 10,000 steps a day challenge. If you are up for the challenge, please post in the comments your steps for each day. We love cruising and feel very fortunate and grateful we have the ability and opportunity to cruise the world by Land & Sea. On this ship we are at sea for 8 days and various ports for 5 days. Thanks for coming along on our Journey. Happy Cruising & Traveling the World!
