Welcome to a BRAND NEW DISNEY CRUISE LINE SERIES!!! We are on the 13 Night Westbound Transatlantic Cruise from Southampton to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We sailed on the Disney Dream on 20th October 2024 - 2nd November 2024 and this is our itinerary: Day 1 - Southampton, Embarkation Day Day 2 - Day at Sea Day 3 - Vigo, Spain Day 4 - Lisbon, Portugal Day 5 - Day at Sea Day 6 - Day at Sea Day 7 - Ponta Delgada, The Azores Day 8 - Day at Sea Day 9 - Day at Sea Day 10 - Day at Sea Day 11 - Day at Sea Day 12 - Day at Sea Day 13 - Disney's Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point Day 14 - Debarkation Day at Fort Lauderdale, Florida We start off with the trailer for the new DCL vlog series! I hope you like it!! I show you glimpses of what we get up to at the ports and on the Disney Dream on this westbound transatlantic cruise (WBTA). In today's vlog we are in Lisbon, Portugal!! We tour Lisbon on a free walking tour and I show you everything! We start off at the top deck of the ship and I show you the view of Lisbon! We get off the ship and walk into the centre. I show you on a map where to go into the centre from the port. We go straight onto the Guru Walking Tour and he tells us about the history of Portugal. We then talk through the culture of Portugal and Lisbon (you can skip this part if you are not interested!) The tour guide talks through Portuguese wine, fish - sardines and cod fish, he talks about the famous fado music, what the famous Lisbon rooster means and a story about where it comes from. We look around some of the famous squares in Lisbon. We go to some famous ruins of a church and I let you know why this carnation square is so significant. We go down the main street of Lisbon and the Santa Justa Lift - we go on this later. Our tour guide gives us the history of the Pastel de Belem and Pastel de Nata. We go to the BEST place for Pastel de Nata. We tour Alfama and more historical areas of Lisbon then we finish the tour looking over Lisbon in the BEST viewpoint of Lisbon. When the tour finishes we explore ourselves, we check out the famous Lisbon trolley and trams then go for the famous cod ball, Ginja cherry liqueur shot on a place we saw in Travel Man. We then head to the Lisbon Starbucks for a You are here mug and the Hard Rock Cafe Lisboa for a pin! We then go the back way to the Santa Justa Lift where there is no line for amazing views and then we go down the lift just to experience it! We go back to Nata de Lisboa for more Pastel de Natas before we head back to the ship. Once back on the ship we met some characters and then had dinner at Royal Palace. We played some cards games at Cabanas, had our turn down service and towel animal then headed to bed!
