DAY 4 OF A 12 DAY AFRICAN CRUISE

Day 4 of my African cruise with @norwegiancruiseline saw me taking another solo excursion. By solo I mean, not with my family as they weren't interested in this particular trip. So, the ship anchored out at sea, and the ships tenders were ferrying people to Nosy Be, Madagascar, and private tenders were taking people on the excursions. I was going to Nosy Komba, which means the island of lemurs to see, you guessed it, lemurs. This is an incredibly pretty island, with some beach front bars and a craft market full of hand crafted goods made by the locals. We watched them hand carving wooden items, embroidering table cloths (big regrets not buying one), and weaving bags and baskets. We walked through the market led by our guide, up the hill and into the forest where we encountered lemurs literally swinging from the first tree. They are such adorable little animals, and I had the best time.
