Creator's Key Takeaways

If you have any maintenance issues, normally your stateroom host will be able to look after those for you.

The best thing to do is to go to Deck 4 and sit on there and watch the horizon because your brain seeing the difference between the ship going up and down and focusing on the horizon will help.

Formal night is taken very loosely. And if you didn't want to dress up, you didn't have to.

Tomorrow we're going to be in Olden, Norway, our first port of call. We're very excited to have a little wander around.

Creator's Tips & Advice

Go to Deck 4 and watch the horizon to combat seasickness.
If you have maintenance issues, contact your stateroom host or guest services.
Use the health center for seasickness medication if needed.

We enjoy a relaxed morning onboard before heading to Royal Court for lunch, where I try Disney Cruise Line’s chicken tenders... before heading to Flo’s Café for pizza instead! We explore the adult-exclusive deck areas and then take a look at the onboard shopping options, including limited-edition Disney Cruise Line merchandise, and collectable restaurant pins for Animator’s Palate and Royal Court. Afterwards, we stop by Sweet On You for some gelato and treats before seeing Disney’s Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular in the Walt Disney Theatre. Later that evening, we join in a Taylor Swift piano sing-along in La Piazza with a fun round of “Gary, can you guess it?”. The first evening is Formal Night, and we’re dining at Animator’s Palate. We have tomato tart and baked potato soup, as well as roast chicken, apple crumble rice pudding and walnut cake. All with Crush, Nemo and Squirt interacting on the screens throughout dinner. We end the night with cocktails and some quiet time before getting ready for brunch at Palo the following morning. Day three begins with a rough sea and an incredible brunch experience at Palo. From antipasti and pastries, to omelettes, Mickey Waffles and Italian entrées, it’s one of Disney Cruise Line’s most popular dining experiences. I explain how Platinum Castaway Club members receive an onboard credit that can be used for brunch, and we share our thoughts on the service and the food. The rest of the day includes room service, movie time, and character meets across the ship. Gary meets Belle, Snow White, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Mickey Mouse, Pluto, and Chip ’n’ Dale, attends an Animation Drawing Class, and even catches Pixar’s “Elio” in the Buena Vista Theatre. We grab drinks in the Meridian bar before dinner in Enchanted Garden, where we have lobster ravioli, lettuce wedge salad, tomato soup, jacket potatoes and orange yoghurt cake.
