Disney Magic 4 Night Cruise from Galveston to Progreso - Day by Day

January 17 - 21, 2024 The Disney Magic cruise ship sails the Western Caribbean from Galveston, Texas to Progreso, Mexico! This is a day by day montage of the 4 night cruise - one of the Disney Magic's shortest itineraries. On this sailing, my brother and I got to experience traveling to the Yucatan peninsula, and we visited the 1,500 year old Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza. January is generally a lower season for cruising in this region. Temperatures in Galveston were cold (43°F), but plenty warm in the Yucatan region (~88°F). There were a total of 2 sea days and 1 port day. This sailing hosted 2,491 guests. The approximate max capacity of the Disney Magic is around 2,700 passengers. All food pictured in this video were included in the base cruise fare (Cabanas Buffet, Animator's Palate, Rapunzel’s Royal Table, Lumiere’s). Our party was in second seating, which started at 8:30pm each night. The Port Adventure that we took at Progreso was Chichen Itza Mayan Ruins (PGO30), which lasted approximately 7 hours (including transit time).
