Disney: Magic Kingdom Welcome Show: Wednesday October 16th, 2013

The Magic Kingdom Welcome Show takes place every morning and is exactly as it sounds. Taking place 15 minutes before the park's scheduled opening time the show lasts about 10 minutes and is hosted by a citizen of the Magic Kingdom (such as the mayor) and features the citizens singing and dancing. Typically the train would roll into the station loaded with all of the morning's characters but during the time I was their the train was closed for refurbishment so instead the characters just walked out. Each morning also features a special family that is selected to help in the countdown. During Extra Magic Hours an abbreviated show takes place prior to that opening without the family and featuring the much smaller group of characters that are in the park at that time. Characters in appearance: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Chip & Dale, Stitch, Peter Pan, Wendy Darling, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, Drizella, Fairy Godmother, White Rabbit, Alice, and Mary Poppins.
