Disneyland California Vlog | Day 5 | Disney Shops & Sweethearts Nite | February 2023 | Adam Hattan

Join my friend Gary and I for a tour of the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa at Disneyland Resort, some Disney shopping in Downtown Disney's World of Disney, followed by an After Hours event called: Sweethearts Nite. A ticketed event themed around lovers, friends and family. I'm Adam Hattan, a family-friendly theme park and vacation vlogger from the United Kingdom, who often vlogs the magic of Disney Parks. A rest we very much needed after four very intense park days. We decide to venture to the neighbouring hotel: Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. This hotel is a bit more expensive than the Disneyland Hotel, and is ultimately why we didn't choose to stay there. However, it was great to have a walk around the lobby, merchandise shop, and dine at their quick service: Craftsman Grill. From the Grand Californian, we walk through Downtown Disney to the World of Disney shop. This massive Disney Parks store offers some of the things you might find on ShopDisney, as well as Disney Parks exclusives. We check out some of the apparel, collector dolls, Disney100 collection and more. After a quick rest at the Disneyland Hotel, it's then off to Sweethearts Nite! This 'Disneyland After Dark' is what's commonly referred to as an After Hours event. These are seperately ticketed events that allow you to experience some party exclusive opportunities after the park has technically closed for the day. During the party we ride: It's A Small World, Jungle Cruise, Flying Dumbo's and the Carousel. We grab a bite (literally) at the Bengal Barbeque, eat a small meal at Docking Bay 7 in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and check out some of the event exclsuive merchandise. Whilst the length of lines restricted how much we could do, we did manage to do an Aladdin themed photo op, meet Mickey & Minnie, Donald & Daisy and Esmeralda & Phoebus, as well as watch the Sweethearts Nite fireworks from Main Street. By 11pm, we were exhausted and felt like we'd got everything out of the party we could have. On the way back to the hotel, we answer the question: Is Sweethearts Nite worth the money? ($159 per person, plus tax). We were very much speaking from the perspective of UK guests who have flown a long way and already spent a lot of money to be at the resort.
