Today we’re checking out one of Walt Disney Worlds Moderate Resorts, Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarters. This resort has 2 sections, the French Quarters side and the Riverside. If you’re looking for a room with a 5th sleeper room, you will need to stay on the Riverside section of this resort to find one. This resort transports you to New Orleans with Madi Gras characters, vibrant jazz music and you can even find the famous beignets here. You’ll notice that the resort buildings resemble the same look and feel as a lot of the architectural style from New Orleans, you have the metal Railing and framed arch ways on the outside with the rich, pastel color palettes. Lets check out a standard room here. The standard room sleeps up to 4 people. Theming is Princess and the frog, looks like Tiana celebrating with Prince Naveen and Louis getting down on the sax. It’s your standard resort room with all the typical amenities. We do really love the color of the front dresser and the accent pillows on the bed. The bathroom also has lovely floor tiling. Watch for those snakes and Alligator signs. They have river cruise dock that will take you to the Riverside and Disney Springs area. The pool is like a Madi Gras Festival with tons of fun character statues and jamming music. As we head back to the central hub of the French Quarter we’re going to pop into the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory. This is your general dining area and it looks like the Madi Gras festival exploded in here. You’ll see different easter eggs like beads and mask. And while it’s your standard food area the real thing you’ll want to focus on is the the Scat Cat Café where you can get your morning coffee and those famous Mickey shaped beignets. Then at night head to the Scat Cat Lounge for dinner and drinks. And at 7:30 PM Thursdays through Sundays they will have live music playing for you.
