The Borgo Pio neighborhood dates back to the Middle Ages when it was a thriving community of artisans and merchants. Located just south of the Vatican City, it still bustles with tourists and locals. You will find a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars, as well as several historic landmarks and attractions. Dine at any of the 4+ rated Restaurants, and don’t miss gelato at Cremilla! Tip: Check dining hours, as many are closed between 3 and 7 pm. Tip: Eat a late lunch and then walk to St Peters Basilica, Entry lines are shorter in the evening.
