Hi everyone, In this week's video it is our embarkation day and travel day on #pandocruises Iona to the #norwegianfjords for a week. This is the first time we have got a coach to Southampton and sailed from England. The journey went a lot quicker than expected and the good thing about the coach is we got to bypass the very long line for check in and security. Once on board we quickly completed our muster and then went to find our cabin. We were staying in a balcony cabin for this week and if you'd like to see a tour and review the video link is here. - https://youtu.be/e7DebLK0mwg We also have an outside cabin tour here - https://youtu.be/EP_nGfhnZoY We had a drink at the sunset bar which was a lovely way to really start the holiday off, we were here for a while and had a detour through the Clubhouse where Pulse were practicing. We then went back to the cabin to unpack, part way through we realised there was a sail away party in the Sky Dome so quickly went there. We got a glass of fizz each, saw the entertainment team and show cast perform and welcome us on board and then did a conga line round the sky dome. This was a lot of fun and I'm so glad we didn't miss it! Dane had a quick snack from taste 360 and we then went back to the cabin to carry on unpacking and getting ready for the evening. Tonight we had a meal booked at The Beach House, this is an up charge restaurant in a section of the Horizon buffet. It was a great location and a good setting. The staff were brilliant and the food was brilliant especially dessert! I had a slight up charge on the price paid by getting the flat iron steak sizzler but I would definitely get the chicken next time which was included and much nicer. Overall we had a fab meal and drinks and the service was great. We then went to watch a vocal group called Roxx in the Sky Dome. They were brilliant but the acoustics aren't the best in this venus for singers to be honest. After a while we decided to get a good spot for Pulse in the Clubhouse. They were lots of fun and performed a great mix of songs! We called it a night after this as we were all so tired and wanted to be fresh for the sea day the next day.
