Everything Went Wrong... Until We Rode the Slingshot!

What started as a simple family fun day turned into a four-day adventure thanks to Florida weather! We kicked things off with a video call to our Japanese exchange son, who lived with our family during 2016–2017, before gathering for a Maryland-style blue crab feast. Then we headed to Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf for some family competition—but the weather had other plans. Our next stop was supposed to be Sunset Walk at Margaritaville so Lindsay and I could finally ride the Slingshot, but storms forced us to call it a day. Back home, we ended the evening by opening and reviewing a bottle of Cloudem Blue that we had saved from our last Disney Cruise. The adventure continued the next day when Lindsay, Kori, and Cuyler visited Disney's Hollywood Studios for lunch at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant and caught the Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage show while Melissa and I took a much-needed break. Finally, a few days later, the weather cooperated, and Lindsay and I made it back to Sunset Walk to ride the Slingshot—and it was absolutely worth the wait!
