Join us for another packed lodge vlog as we head out with friends Tracy, Neil, and Faith for a unique day of exploring and laughter. Our adventure begins at RAF Holmpton, a massive Cold War nuclear fallout bunker hidden beneath what looks like just a house in a field. This eerie underground labyrinth, once top secret, stretches 35,000 square feet and plunges 100 feet below the surface. From thick blast doors and eerie dormitories to Cold War command centers and even a pub tucked away underground, the place feels like something straight out of The Walking Dead. Since filming is no longer allowed, we’ve included footage from our first visit to give you a real feel of the atmosphere while we talk you through the experience. After resurfacing, we drove just 10 minutes to the seaside town of Withernsea. Here, it was all about classic British seaside fun: sugar dummies, whippy ice creams, hot donuts, and a giant fish supper that could rival Moby Dick! Faith stuck to nuggets, while the rest of us indulged in seaside treats. Back at the lodge, we tackled everything from refreshing the car’s air con to testing if our California trip luggage would fit into Vicki and Emma’s car.
