This is reputed to be the prettiest place on the island of Rhodes. But does it deserve these accolades? Well lots and lots of people certainly go their to find out. It has plenty to offer visitors? A mangnificant ancient acropolis with structiures from many historical periods with the Temple of Athena dating back to ancient greek times or earlier. The town itself is a maze of of cobbled streets filled with bars, restaurants, cafes and of course tourists. The beach is simply fabulous set in a sheltered bay and offers plenty to do for those just wanting a beach day. Its some place and its easy to see why people flock here in their droves. Its inexpensive to get there on public transport too. So why spend the big bucks on a formal excursion or tour? Top tip - Book your tickets for the acropolis in advance of your visit to avoid the long queues for the ticket office!!!
