Day 3 on my 7-day Norwegian Viva cruise started early in Cozumel for a Tulum Mayan Ruins and Playa del Carmen excursion on just two hours of sleep. I grabbed coffee, met the group, took a 45-minute ferry to the mainland, then rode about 50 minutes to the Tulum archaeological site for a guided overview and free time to explore, film, and take photos—until the heat wore me out. I ate chicken tacos before heading back for a short stop in Playa del Carmen, then returned by ferry to the ship. Back onboard, I did a solo meetup with salsa dancing, enjoyed dinner with other solo travelers, and ended the night with extra buffet desserts before deciding to skip the 80s party and rest.
