Join us as we visit The Wandering Goose Restaurant inside the historic Tokeland Hotel—Washington’s oldest hotel, dating back to 1885. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at this beautifully restored property, surrounded by coastal charm and local history. For breakfast, we couldn’t resist the Fried Chicken Eggs Benedict—a southern twist on a Northwest favorite—and the Biscuits and Gravy, made from scratch with rich, buttery perfection. Come dinner time, we dove into the Fried Chicken Dinner and the mouthwatering Shrimp and Grits, paired perfectly with handcrafted cocktails. Every dish celebrates farm-to-table cuisine, sourced from the hotel’s own gardens and local Pacific Northwest farms. After our meals, we toured the Tokeland Hotel grounds, where rustic farm life meets coastal serenity. Once a gathering spot for travelers and fishermen in the late 1800s, the hotel now welcomes guests to relax, dine, and experience history firsthand with cozy rooms and a warm, artistic atmosphere. We stayed just across the street at the Bayshore RV Park, giving us the perfect base to explore the area and wake up to the salty sea air of Willapa Bay. Tokeland itself is one of Washington’s oldest coastal communities, named after Chief Toke, a respected Shoalwater Bay tribal leader. The town’s heritage is woven with Native American history, fishing traditions, and early homesteading life—making it a truly unique destination where the past still whispers through the pines. * The Wandering Goose at the Tokeland Hotel * Bayshore RV Park, Tokeland, Washington 🍽️ Highlights: Fried Chicken Eggs Benedict • Biscuits & Gravy • Fried Chicken Dinner • Shrimp & Grits • Cocktails • Hotel Tour 🎥 Subscribe to Just Ramblin Around as we continue exploring hidden gems, historic hotels, and delicious food destinations across the Pacific Northwest and beyond! #tokeland #washington #bestrestaurant #pnw #oldesthotel #willapabay Our Equipment: GoPro5 : https://amzn.to/3W706JP GoPro10 : https://amzn.to/3JoNRRt Nikon Z30 : https://amzn.to/4d2bOvo Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra DJI Mini 2 Our Software and Subscription Services: https://share.epidemicsound.com/cyumoq Adobe Premier Pro Adobe Photoshop Adobe Illustrator 🎉🎈🥳Please subscribe to our channel to stay in touch so we can share what we are up to!🐕🌋🌅 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYptpWdN5KNCq5pwdvGNrhQ?sub_confirmation=1 Website: www.justramblinaround.com Facebook: Just Ramblin Around Instagram: @justrambinaround Email: jrawithronandjodi@gmail.com Hi Ramblers!
