This was a video we've wanted to make for a while, and today we did! We went exploring the old road that was once put in for a development known as Ocean Beach on Assateahue Island. The Ash Wednesday storm of 1962 wiped out the island and many of the homes that were built, which prompted locals to go to the federal government to try to stop all development on the island. In 1965, President Lyndon Johnson signed an act making Assateague a National Seashore. Although we didn't find any cool treasures, it was still a fun day exploring! We'll continue the trek another day searching for any artifacts we can find. Thanks as always for watching!
