It is a beautiful day in sunny Mexico! We are going for a walk in the Playacar area where we are staying at Iberostar Quetzal. Playacar is a gated community in Playa del Carmen with resorts, shops and restaurants. It is also in walking distance to downtown 5th Avenue, but we are not venturing that far on this trip. There are some great shops here and we find some great custom made items! A New Orleans Saints sign made from license plates and beautiful woven art. We bought one for ourselves and for each of our World Traveler Patrons from 2020. Back at the resort, it is time to hit the beach! But first a quick lunch... and thankfully they have redeemed themselves and the food was much better!! This beach is fantastic!! Beautiful sand, clear water and big waves to play in. I like how the beach is set up with the chairs and custom made umbrellas which were not really umbrellas but mini huts with thatched roofs. We walked the beach and no other resort had these! It was a great day!
