Should you include a trip to the Ol Malo Lodge in a Kenya trip? I think so! It was one of the most beautiful places I visited during a two-week Kenyan wildlife adventure. The Ol Malo Lodge, which is privately owned, is a conservation and eco-tourism ranch in Kenya's northern Laikipia region. Ol Malo partners with the Samburu Trust to protect and secure the future of the Samburu people and their land through education, conservation, healthcare, water supply, women’s opportunities, and eco-tourism. I appreciated their mission and it was evident in everything during our stay. The luxury lodge is stunning. It is hand-crafted and every room is different, creative and somewhat quirky, which makes it so special. The staff caters to each visitor's individual needs and gives you options for your experiences. This can include game drives, horseback riding, camel riding, picnics, sunset viewing, hiking and much more. The meals were wonderful and presented in different locations around the site.
