Fave Websites and Apps for Cruisers - Episode #2
Description from YouTube
Hey Cruisers, I’m Sheri with CruiseTipsTV. We were really stoked about the response to our new series on favorite websites and apps for cruisers, so we’re back with more. This time, we’re looking at something else from Cruiseline.com. Again, we are not sponsored or compensated by Cruiseline.com, but we do think their stuff is pretty cool. This time we are looking a their ShipMate app. This app helps get us pumped for our cruise, and it’s a great way to learn about your ship, and chat with other cruisers in a roll-call type format. We’ve looked around and can’t find anything quite like it. It’s uncluttered, easy to navigate, and fast. Wanna see? Let’s go! Probably the best place to start with this app is the Countdown clock, where you enter your cruise information, and even post your countdown on social media sites. You click on “add cruise”, choose your cruise line, ship, and sailing date, click add, share your countdown if you want to, and you’re done. It's a cruise countdown app. The countdown begins! Now you can learn about your ship. When you click “ship info”, photos, reviews, and even deck maps pop up. Oh, and one thing that’s really cool about this app is that you can use the deck maps when you’re ONBOARD your cruise because the info in this app is available offline. Just be sure to save the cruise to your profile. I love this, because to us, wifi is painfully expensive onboard, and if you’ve watched our videos, you know my phone goes into airplane mode the minute we sail away. Buh, bye. Check this out, there’s even more fun to be had here. You can chat with your fellow passengers before you set sail on the app’s roll calls. You’ll find people talking about their plans onboard, asking questions, getting to know each other, and basically just counting down the days. There are loads of features we didn’t get to show you, so if it interests you download it and have fun planning your next cruise! The app has over 1.5Million downloads, gets great reviews and works on tablets and phones! For cruise apps for iPhone, you can find it on Apple’s App Store. For cruise apps for Android check the Google Play store. This cruise app is also available on Amazon’s appstore. Let us know what you think of ShipMate, and any other cruise related apps in the comments below. For example, whats the best cruise finder app for Android, what's the best cruise booking app, what's the best cruise app for iPad? Thanks for watching and until next time, we’ll see you on the high seas!
